Valsimhovich

Overview

Valery Simhovich grew up in Birobidjan, in the Far East of Russia. He studied Art at what is nowadays Sakhalin State University, and music at the Birobidjan Music College. He left Russia in 1998 and, since then, has lived in the Middle East, in Europe, in Africa, the Caucasus and the United States. He also travels often to Mysore, India. Different continents, landscapes, cultures and traditions have been a dominant source of inspiration for his paintings. His Art intends to convey a sense of freedom and, at the same time, a feeling of transcendent joy.
